CFFA update for July 4

Sorry this is so late.  It’s all Nicole’s fault

First, I don’t know what happened with Erica Julien’s sabre team.  She is listed on the roster, but never appeared in their one match.  They were eliminated in the first round.  I will have to get the story from her.

Nicole Milewski was in the Div III women’s epee.  She went 5-1 in her pool which made her the top person.  She then won DE’s 15-6, 15-8, 15-10, and 6-3 in four of the best bouts I have ever seen her fence.  That put her in the medals.  She lost her next bout 10-15, but still gets the 7th place medal.  She was 7th out of 174 competitors.  We didn’t get out of the venue until after 11 pm (St. Louis time).

Later today, (at this point), we will have Robert Thomas in Division III men’s epee, Nicole in the Division II women’s epee, and the first appearance of Will Golder, fencing Men’s Y-14 foil.
